When you think of the city of Cannes, it’s hard to think of anything besides luxury, and the yachts which are moored in the various ports along the Côte d’Azur. That’s why, every September since 1977, the Cannes Yachting Festival has played host to an exclusive line-up of boats throughout the month. During the show, which is open to both members of the public and professionals alike, you can admire a large number of yachts, and also get a preview of the new products which are sure to spark the curiosity of boating enthusiasts.
For this 2024 edition, let’s take a look at what the Cannes Yachting Festival, and the various participants who help bring this exceptional event to life, have in store for us.
The Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 edition
First of all, the Cannes Yachting Festival will take place from 10th to 15th September in the two ports which make up the city of Cannes: the Vieux Port and the Port Canto. The former, located in the heart of the city of Cannes, is one of the oldest ports on the Côte d’Azur and a legendary part of Cannes’ landscape; the latter, on the other side of the Croisette district, is Cannes’ second-largest port. For several years now, it has been the location for the Sailing Area, as well as the show’s large yachts.
This event focuses on a new sector devoted to sailboats and motorboats measuring from 5 to 50 metres. You’ll find them between the Sailing, Yacht Brokerage and Toys areas along the coast.
As for these three areas, they offer the opportunity to discover different models of boats on Port Canto: the Sailing area is dedicated to sailboats, the Brokerage area features around fifty exceptional yachts over 22 metres, and the Toys area is for fun accessories, like slides, inflatable toys or underwater scooters available on the yachts.
Every year, more than 700 boats are presented: those measuring over 10 metres are on the water, while the others are on dry land.
The Yachting Festival is a major international event, with an average of 55,000 visitors and 610 exhibitors from all over the world across 5 kilometres of pontoon.

The show and its various ecological commitments
As well as its exhibitions and exhibitors in the two ports which make up the city of Cannes, another part of the Cannes Yachting Festival takes place at the Palais des Festivals, a legendary venue known for its Film Festival and its various artistic and commercial events. Within it, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the various players in the top-of-the-range yachting sector and discover brands specialising in this field who are here to present their nautical products and/or services, as well as their latest innovations. These exhibitors are linked in one way or another to the world of luxury sailing, and include brands specialising in interior fittings, builders of top-of-the-range tenders and dinghies, high-tech equipment and products, and more.
With an eye on its environmental impact, the Cannes Yachting Festival has created an “innovation route”: the exhibitors display this label to highlight the eco-efficient solutions they have put in place to reduce the environmental impact of the marine industry on the sea and marine ecosystems. In addition to this label, the show is also highlighting its eco-responsible commitments for this 2024 edition: the quantity of printed documents is being cut down; various service providers and caterers taking part in the event are making their own commitments; recycled materials are being used and waste management is being implemented. This is all part of a drive to raise visitors’ awareness of environmental issues.
Exhibitors at the Cannes Yachting Festival
As described above, the various exhibitors at the Cannes Yachting Festival come from all over the world: as well as exhibitors from the European Union, there are others from Africa, North and Central America, Asia and even Oceania. These exhibitors specialise in a range of activities, including motorboat construction, nautical equipment and services, naval architecture and design, and luxury and lifestyle. A plethora of domains to satisfy every need.
